About
Who is behind this
A fair question to ask before you put a transaction on someone's software. Here is the honest answer: who we are, why this exists, and why we are starting small and local on purpose.
The company
ClosingRecord is built by JESKEL Group LLC, a New York limited liability company based in Webster, New York. It is founded and run by Jesse Williams. Jesse spent fourteen years in healthcare, nine of them in director-level roles, where good process and an honest record are what keep people safe when a lot is on the line. He is not a lawyer — the only legal education he has is the one nobody wants, the fight over his own home. He is a husband, a father, and a stepfather, and he is building ClosingRecord to fight for regular people who keep getting the short end from businesses, banks, and brokers who hide behind power and paperwork.
You can reach Jesse directly at jesse@jeskelgroup.com or (585) 236-2340. Mailing address: 718 Hard Road, Webster, NY 14580.
Why it exists
The short version is personal. A sight-unseen purchase, roughly six figures in defects that surfaced after closing, and then the discovery that being right and being able to prove it are two different things — the truth was clear and the record was scattered across inboxes, texts, and phone calls that were nobody's job to keep. Truth and procedure turned out to be separate currencies, and we were rich in one and broke in the other.
ClosingRecord is the tool that would have changed that story: one file every party to a closing shares, sealed so nobody can quietly change what happened, and verifiable on its own years later. We do not claim it makes anything admissible — a judge decides that. We make the record cheap to verify and expensive to fake.
Why five seats, and why Monroe County
New York is an attorney state: the buyer's attorney runs the closing, which makes them the right partner to build this with. We are starting with a small founding cohort of buyer- side closing practices in the Rochester / Monroe County area — five, deliberately — because a tool that touches every party in a transaction should be shaped by real closings and honest feedback before it scales, not after. Founding partners help set the direction and keep founding-partner terms for as long as they keep using it.
If that is you, the best next step is to try the demo and then read about the founding cohort. If you would rather just ask a question first, write to us — a one-line question is fine.
ClosingRecord is a record-keeping company, not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice. See our Security, Privacy, and Terms pages for the details a firm's vendor review will want.
