The demo is a sample, not a live system

The interactive demo at demo.closingrecord.com runs entirely in your browser on fictional sample data. It is a faithful illustration of the product, not a live instance holding real client information. Do not enter confidential or client data into the demo.

ClosingRecord is a record-keeping tool, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Our resource articles are general information about New York law, not advice about your situation — consult a licensed attorney. We do not decide whether any record is admissible in court; a court does.

Acceptable use

Use the site and demo for their intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to our systems, scrape at abusive volumes, or misuse the contact forms. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service.

Intellectual property

The site's content, design, and software are ours or our licensors'. Anything you submit through a form remains yours; you grant us permission to use it only to respond to you and operate the service. Pilot data ownership is addressed in the pilot agreement — in short, your firm and the parties on a File own their record.

Disclaimers and limits

The website and demo are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or demo. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Commitments for a paid pilot — including any service levels and liability terms — live in the written pilot agreement.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, the parties agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute — first through direct discussion, and then, if that does not work within 30 days, through non-binding mediation in Monroe County, New York. Any dispute not resolved that way will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in the Monroe County courts to protect its intellectual property or the security and integrity of the service without first completing discussion or mediation.
